Gardinator ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information we collect
We collect the following information when you use Gardinator:
- Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account.
- Garden data — the gardens, beds, plantings, and notes you create within the app.
- Zone information — your USDA hardiness zone, used to personalise planting recommendations.
- Photos — if you use the seed packet scanning feature, images are processed to extract plant details and are not stored on our servers.
- Purchase information — if you subscribe to Gardinator Pro, purchase details are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Gardinator service.
- To sync your garden data across devices.
- To send planting reminders and harvest alerts you have opted into.
- To verify subscription status for Pro features.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Gardinator:
- Railway — cloud hosting for our servers and database.
- Neon — database storage for your garden data.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (e.g. account verification).
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies and data protection practices. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data retention
We retain your account and garden data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Children's privacy
Gardinator is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
