All of your items are encased underneath several layers of durable material. First off, the outer paneling is made of UV-protected panels. These prevent things like rust and corrosion from happening. The lid is also made of UV-protected panels. And the seal for the lid is water-resistant.
The water-resistant seal prevents water from getting into the box. So, if your area ends up in a storm, water won’t get into the box and damage your items (although we don’t recommend doing so).

Here, we have a somewhat different outdoor storage deck box. Unlike the one that Lifetime offers, the Keter Novel Plastic Deck Storage Container can only store up to 90 gallons. It is also made of plastic, rather than strong and durable metals. Now, polypropylene resin plastic is quite durable, especially for plastic. But, at the same time, it isn’t as durable as the Lifetime 60298.
You have the same basic features. Such as water protection, weather resistance, and UV protection, as well. But, due to the plastic material that this outdoor storage deck box is made out of, it just isn’t as durable. You’re more likely to experience weather damage.
Other than that, though, it’s a pretty similar box. You can lock it. It can serve as a bench, due to its size. While it can’t store as much, it can store a lot. Ninety gallons is still plenty of space.
The last notable difference between the two is that Keter’s outdoor storage deck box requires you to assemble it on your own. It doesn’t come pre-assembled.

If you have a tighter budget and don’t mind having less space and less weather resistance, then this is a great choice!
Sure, it isn’t as durable or well-made, necessarily. But, it is a simple outdoor storage deck box that can store quite a bit, while remaining relatively durable.
If you live in a climate with a lot of rain or intense heat, then this may not be a good choice, however.
